Becoming Antifragile

The thing is... the solution isn’t to protect people from these changes. Change is normal and inevitable. Protecting people and organizations from it only creates an illusion of security, ensuring an even bigger negative impact as soon as the illusion vanishes.

The solution, as a society, is to be prepared for these changes. To equip people and organizations with new options, and with the capacity to adapt to those changes.

This is our mission. We equip people so that they can :

  • Free themselves from helplessness, and have options to choose from, and opportunities to become antifragile.

  • Free themselves from the fear of uncertainty and recover their agency.

  • Create progressive organizations that are adaptable and human-centric.

We create pyrates

A Pyrate (with a “Y”), is a person who can spot opportunities in uncertainty and who is able to seize them without asking for permission. One who can grow a network, increase his impact and improve his community.

We train Pyrates to acquire the necessary courage to act intentionally on their environment. To grow their influence, formulate an action plan, and seize opportunities. To understand the importance of teaching these skills to others, in order to improve the whole system. Uncertainty does not represent a problem for Pyrates, since they learned to turn it into their natural environment. Resilience allows Pyrates to adapt and quickly recover from adverse circumstances.

Antifragility allows them to benefit from these situations by recognizing opportunities and taking controlled risks.

Our 5 axis of intervention

Axis 1 : Antifragilisation of individuals

We turn people into adaptable, versatile, creative and confident pyrates. The first axis is to free people from the constraints that limit their potential. Antifragility gives them options for taking action, activates their agency and makes them comfortable with uncertainty.

Armed with these attributes, they can adapt to changing situations, explore new horizons and improve their environment.

Axis 2 : Leadership development

We need a new kind of leadership. Leading autonomous teams, made up of creative and adaptable people, in sustainable organizations adapted to a climate of uncertainty, requires a form of leadership that is far from control and predictability.

Go Pyrate! teaches intention-based leadership, the concept of Missions and decentralization of power to enable them to develop a vision and communicate better in this context.

Axis 3 : Progressive organizations

Make way for organizations that focus on people above all. Based on the 9 trends of progressive organizations, this axis promotes the creation, support and promotion of organizations that rely on progressive trends in their values and management.

Progressive organizations are antifragile, are better workplaces, give back to society and evolve with new market realities.

Axis 4 : Accessibility to knowledge and expertise

Knowledge must be free. Experts must be valued. Knowledge is a social asset and must be shared. Go Pyrate! is committed to making its knowledge consumable, to study progressive organizations, and to make these concepts accessible to the public.

Likewise, we want to train independent consultants, and showcase those already active in the market, who can support people and organizations in implementing what we preach.
